About the author

My name is Philippe Paternotte; here are some information about me:

• Born in 1958, French, living near Paris.
• I think that my English is quite acceptable, but feel free to report language errors, it's never too late to learn!
• Initially in the electronics field, I came to telephone exchange SW before moving on to industrial areas; now Senior Software Engineer consultant specialized in Factory Computing and more generally speaking in Factory Automation (computers, PLCs and HMI).
• Pascal and Assembler programmer since the late ol' 70s, author of many >100k lines applications and some >200k ones.  
• Regular contributor to the MCHP's forums (ppater) and some others (ppa94).
• Using PICs since 2000.
• I love fishing, Led Zep & Metallica, Ravi & Anoushka Shankar and good wines.
